Since 2005, YouTube has become the world's largest video-sharing site and has enabled digital filmmaking. Three guys founded it: Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. Its impact goes way beyond entertainment, touching education, marketing, and culture.
Early Days and Rapid Growth:
Me at the zoo, the very first video, launched on February 14, 2005, finally brought along a new age. Where YouTube has largely looked at user-generated content, such as the personal moments that the users share, has quickly transmuted into an attraction point for media companies, advertisers, and content creators.
In 2006 Google purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion merely to guarantee, once and for all, that the web site was on the map. In 2010 YouTube reached 2 billion views daily, and as of 2019, 2 billion monthly active users.
